$60.00 for the pair plus shipping
I purchased this pair of hand embroidered pillow cases in a small Moroccan mountain town called Ifrane, east of Fez, in the Middle Atlas mountains. The area is also famous for authentic, wool, white and brown Berber rugs. Their cooperative is one of the best on Morocco. These covers were embroidered by local women, who then sell their handicrafts to visitors to support their families.
I love the blue color, and the primitive lining made of yellow cloth, the only cloth the women had available to them at the time. Clean. Forgotten in a drawer.
The front and back are machine stitched together, but the embroidery is hand made. Inside lining is another kind of material, nylon flower print, as far as I can tell. All these materials contribute to the authenticity of these pillow covers.
They match, and each measures about 17.5 inches square. HAND WASH ONLY.
