I am teaching a number of Moroccan cooking classes at the lovely Cocina que Canta at Rancho La Puerta, Tecate, Mexico.
One of them will be held on September 27th, and another, on October 11th, 2008. Each class is hands-on, which means YOU do the cooking under my supervision, and that of the friendly Cocina staff. You get to pick the fruits and vegetables in the Cocina’s beautiful garden, prepare the food, and then, eat the product of your labor. Class size is about 18 to 20.
Saturdays at the Ranch is turning into a very popular program, and the classes fill up fast. You can call RLP reservations directly at (800)443-7565 and find out if there is room, or else, place your name on a waiting list and they will advise you if someone dropped out on that particular Saturday. For a complete schedule and fees, go to www.rancholapuerta.com.
Hope to see you at one of my classes! Hasta luego!
Kitty
PS: Read through the Moroccan menu I devised for the October 2008 issue of Eating Well magazine! (www.eatingwell.com)
Man, I wish I were able to get the time off to go to the cooking class. One thing I like about the recipes on your website is that the ingredients are easy to find. In Alpine (the small west texas town I live in) it is difficult if not impossible to find some of the ingredients that are in my cookbooks. (The nearest HEB or big grocery store is around 3 hours away.) Anyways, I have not gotten a chance to pick up any of your cookbooks yet (the nearest barnes & noble is also 3 hours away) but as soon as I get a chance I am going to. =)
Thank you Julia!
Have you tried to order the books through Amazon.com? There are used copies for sale sometimes on each site ( and you can save a few dollars!) You can get to the right book by going through the icon on my site. I sometimes do that when I need to purchase a copy of one of my out-of-print books!
Keep on cooking!
